At Edmund T. Ahee Jewelers Customers Come First
For over half a century, the Ahee family has traveled around the globe to find the most beautiful gems in the world. Visit Ahee's Grosse Pointe Woods showroom and you'll see diamonds from the rich soil of Australia, emeralds from the South American forests and black pearls culled from the South Sea Islands.
Ahee's 7,000-square-foot chandeliered showroom displays what is known to be one of the largest selections of fine jewelry in the Midwest.
"We offer everything from the classics to the avant-garde, for every taste, lifestyle and price range," says John Ahee. "We are proud to carry the most honored brands in jewelry and timepieces to supplement the Ahee collection, including Rolex, David Yurman, IWC, Tag Heuer and Roberto Coin, to name a few."
Their own Pamela Ahee-Thomas leads a team of talented designers who create exquisite jewelry, manufactured in their own onsite state-of-the-art workroom with eight world-class craftsmen. Pamela has won numerous awards, including first place in the prestigious Platinum Guild International Design Competition.
The Ahee family is passionate about diamonds. In fact, Ahee has a partnership with one of the largest diamond site holders and operates its own facilities in Antwerp, Belgium, the diamond capital of the world.
This allows its team of graduate gemologists to bring you a terrific assortment of G.I.A. certified diamonds at very special values.
The Ahee's commitment to excellence was inspired by family patriarch Edmund T. Ahee, who founded the store in 1947. Today, Ahee's six sons - John, Chris, Greg, Peter, Edmund, Jr., and Lowell, and daughter Pamela, proudly maintain the traditions begun by their father, with the help of their mother, Bettejean.
Edmund T. Ahee was devoted to his customers and his community. Today, the Ahee family donates much of their stores profits to area schools, hospitals, churches and civic organizations. To date, they have raised more than $4 million for the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
The Ahee staff is dedicated to its customers. Visitors are greeted with coffee, tea and pastries in a relaxed atmosphere, as a pianist plays a baby grand piano. A portion of the Ahee's private collection is displayed, which includes extremely rare jewelry once owned by Matilda Dodge Wilson.
"We are very honored to have been recently named Michigan's Retailer of the Year," says John Ahee.
Recent awards for Ahee Jewelers include: Best Watch and Jewelry Store by America Online, for the third consecutive year, and Best Jeweler in the People's Choice selection in the Metro Times.
